In JAU. 2022, Kingda crane got a mail from Nepean Australia, consulting about double hoists single girder overhead travelling crane (double hoists single girder EOT crane) , they described its workshop and crane in the mail by this:
“there are 3 sets old crane needed to be replaced. Because all cranes are working in very aggressive atmosphere: hot, acid mist corrosion, heavy duty and limited space for installation, all cranes’ design, assembling and painting need to put corrosion resistance in first place.”

How to choose a crane for hot-dip galvanizing workshop?

Kingda Crane design and build to customer’s specific requirements with its extensive expertise and knowledge. Following Nepean’s description and requirement, Kingda Crane provides own solution, for highest efficiency, availability and safety. Focusing on ”aggressive atmosphere ”, ”acid mist” and “high corrosion” , we carry out detailed consideration and communication on the project, finally Kingda Crane team decide to put emphasis on “anti-corrosion”. anti-corrosion is used in any corner of the double hoist overhead travelling crane:

1	control panels and control box	material must be FRP, As the area is so corrosive the control panel and enclosers must be FRP IP 55 Rating experience shows FRP is more corrosion resistance than stainless ones e. No ventilation on the electrical board. The acid will go in.
2	power supply for cross travel	C Channel will corrode soon. Only steel rope and roller can be use. Cable tie will corrode within a short day. We use copper wire for the use, Stainless Steel cable tie is acceptable
3	limit switch	Up and down limit switch for the hoist The end proximity switches for the hoist on the girder Photoelectric sensor for the end of the travels of the girder. All the sensors must be in steel or FRP encloser
4	Painting	International brand：Jordan 1st coat zinc anode 402 (or equivalent) at 75 μm 2nd Coat Duramax GFX (or equivalent) at 250 μm 3rd Coat Duramax GFX (or equivalent) at 250 μm -Color RAL 1003 (Signal Yellow or equiv.) Total painting thickness 575μm
5	Motors and electrical component protection class	Insulation class: F protection class: IP55 ABM gearbox and motor 3-phase 415V 50Hz
6	Flat bar stitched and welded	A 50mmx 6 mm flat bar is needed to be stitched to the main girder where the wheels for the hoist travels as the area is corrosive and can be replaced.
7	Steel Conduit for cables	Weld Steel conduit to run the wires on the girders
8	motor paint	Motors need to be painted 2 pack

3. End user feedback

have been installed in Galintel’s workshop, Electrical engineer Mr. Michael write in his mail like this:
